It's Fall and Time to Clean the Gutters!
Fall is my personal favorite time of year. The air is cooler, the colors are breathtaking, and the leaves are falling. Yes, the leaves are falling right into my gutters. Weighing them down and clogging them up. Time to clean!
You might think that cleaning gutters can wait and they’re not that big of a deal. However, when they start to sag from the weight of leaves and other debris, you’ll rethink this.
Blocked gutters are a breeding ground for mold. Not something you want hanging around your home.
Critters tend to make their homes in your gutters, given enough material to work with.
Gutters are designed to catch and lead water away from the house. If those gutters are clogged or damaged water will overflow near the house, which becomes a threat to the foundation and leading to costly repairs.
Whether you do it yourself or hire someone to do it for you, be sure to have your gutters cleaned and checked for damage twice a year. It’s maintenance for your home and peace of mind for you. Then, go on and roast up a good S’More! Happy Fall!
