4.9 WaterGuard in Oak Grove, KY.
Challenge
This basement in Oak Grove Kentucky was having some problems keeping water and moisture out. Having a fireplace and utilizing this space as extra living room it was becoming a hassle having to constantly vacuum water out and run endless dehumidifiers. They wanted a permanent solution to their problems and concerns, without ruining this area.
Solution
Frontier sent a design specialist out to their home to address their concerns. Together with the homeowner it was decided that WaterGuard, TripleSafe, and a discharge line was the right solution for this home. WaterGuard is designed to collect water seepage through walls and leaks along the floor and wall joint. The best part about WaterGuard is that after it is installed it is nearly invisible which was a huge concern for these homeowners. The next part of this project that was installed was TripleSafe and this is designed to take all of the water that is collected from the WaterGuard. TripleSafe is designed as a battery-powered pump which protects from flooding during a power outage, which often tends to happen with heavy rains. After these two systems are installed a trench is dug outside and far away from the home. A drain line is then placed inside this trench and covered up. This drain line is so long to ensure that the water does not have the opportunity to return back to the home. Beautiful results and a dry basement.
