4.9 Dr. Energy Saver Revitalizes Mt. Juliet Home!
Challenge
These Mt. Juliet homeowners wanted to make their home comfortable. They were experiencing an extremely cold master bedroom and kitchen. They wanted their home to be comfortable and inviting, no matter the temperature outside. By choosing Frontier Basement Systems and Dr. Energy Saver, they accomplished their goal AND reduced their energy bills, as well as, their carbon footprint!
Solution
To accomplish their goal, we air sealed and insulated their "traditional" attic assembly by closing all assessible penetrations and top plates using our expanding polyurethane foam and then blew in TruSoft cellulose insulation. The insulation that was their previously, had settled and was not insulating their home in conjuction with the air leaks. We also installed a Titeshell recessed light fixture and sealed the edges with polyurethane foam and any other holes that were made for electrical wire. We also sealed all the duct work with foam to prevent the heated and/or cooled air from escaping all while saving them money on their energy bills!
