Before Project Begins
Moisture, mold and falling, failing insulation are problems in this crawl space, which hasn't been properly waterproofed.
Water Damage
In this photo, you can see standing water around the support piers on top of the old vapor barrier. Left untreated this issue will not only rot the above floor but start to cause sinking of these piers and the home they support.
Mold and Wood Rot
The moisture in the crawl space has caused the wood to start rotting and mold to begin to grow. All of this insulation will be removed and the mold will be treated.
Debris Removed
This is all the debris including all the wet and moldy insulation removed from this crawl space. The insulation had to be removed due to the mold growing.
Trench Dug
A trench is dug around the perimeter of the crawl space to prepare to install the EZ-Flow tubing. You can see how much ground water is in the crawl space by the amount of water filling the trench. We will extract as much water out before the EZ-Flow in installed.
Floor Joists
The insulation has been removed from between the floor joists and the mold has been treated.
Water Extraction
Water is being extracted out of this crawl space so the new products can be installed.
EZ-Flow
The EZ-Flow tubing is installed into the trench around the perimeter. Any water coming up from the ground or out from the concrete block walls will be absorbed by this tubing and pushed into the sump pump and pumped out of the crawl space.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.
IceGuard® Discharge Line and LawnScape System
Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning.
