Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Huntsville, AL

A homeowner in Huntsville, AL, reached out to us to assess their crawl space. Upon inspection, our system design specialist identified signs of water intrusion and recommended a full encapsulation. We began the process by clearing the area of debris, including the outdated vapor barrier. Next, we installed dimpled drainage matting across the dirt floor to facilitate proper water flow. On top of this matting, we laid our durable CleanSpace vapor barrier, which was also applied to the walls and around the crawl space support columns in a thinner form. To further insulate the space, we sealed open vents with SilverGlo insulation blocks. A trench was excavated along the perimeter to install EZ-Flow drainage tubes, directing water to a sump pump system placed in the crawl space's lowest point. To manage humidity, we added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Finally, we replaced the existing crawl space door with a durable EverLast model for added protection.
