Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Clarksville, TN

A homeowner in Clarksville, TN, reached out to Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair for an inspection of their dirty crawl space. After our system design specialist assessed the area, they recommended encapsulating the crawl space. The first step was to remove all debris, followed by the installation of dimpled drainage matting to improve water flow. On top of the matting, we placed our CleanSpace vapor barrier. For the walls and columns, we used a thinner version of the vapor barrier, known as "Wallie." The crawl space vents were sealed with 2-inch-thick SilverGlo insulation. To combat humidity, we installed our SaniDry Sedona crawl space dehumidifier. Additionally, we set up an advanced sump pump system to prevent flooding.

The crawl space entrance was made of wood, which will rot over time.
