Frontier Facilitates Firefighter Training

Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair's generous donation of an old box truck to the Pleasant View Fire Department marked a significant contribution to the community's safety and emergency preparedness efforts. The donation served a dual purpose: not only did it provide a valuable training resource for the fire department, but it also enhanced the department's capacity to respond effectively to vehicular accidents and other emergencies. In a gesture of community solidarity and commitment to public safety, Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair has partnered to donate an old box truck to the Pleasant View Fire Department. This donation was aimed at enhancing the department's training capabilities, particularly in conducting rescue drills involving vehicular accidents. Recognizing the vital role played by first responders, Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair is proud to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Pleasant View Fire Department in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

By providing the department with a dedicated vehicle and space for rescue training, this donation enabled firefighters to simulate realistic scenarios and hone their skills in rescue operations. The box truck was pushed off an embankment on Frontier's property, simulating a precarious car accident. This allowed the firefighters to work at their own pace, learning exactly how to handle a situation and best help the potential victim. Inside the box truck was a small car, which fire and rescue were able to tunnel through to access a "victim" trapped inside. In another scenario, they worked to free a "victim" who had been pinned underneath the car inside the box truck. The final scenario involved the use of the "jaws of life" to access specific areas of the vehicle, simulating a crash in which the vehicle's doors could not be opened.

"We are thrilled to support the Pleasant View Fire Department in their mission to protect and serve the community," said Dustin Gebers, General Manager of Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair. "This donation represents our commitment to fostering collaboration and providing essential resources to those who selflessly dedicate themselves to saving lives."
