Lower Entry
The Entry to the fellowship area has elevation drops creating a natural path for water to want to flow.
Below Grade Entry.
The door frame is at ground level but that entry steps down to a landing and another door that steps down again into the room.
Drain in the Floor
A small drain is between the two doors to provide some relief.
Windows at Ground Level
The ground level windows provide some great light. However a traditional window at ground level allows for ground water to seep in to the basement.
Fans to help Dry
We have seen this trick many times. After a water leak the fans come out to help dry the area.
Moisture in the Block
This exposed block makes it easy to see the block is saturated with moisture.
Vapor Barrier and DryTrak
The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier lines the wall to protect the lower section of the wall. DryTrak is a water collection system designed to sit against the base of the wall like a baseboard and direct water to the Sump pump System.
Sump Pump System
The TripleSafe sump pump liner sits evenly with ground level, collecting ground water, leaks, and water collected from the DryTrak. The liner can house up to 2 cast iron pumps on pump stands and an Ultra Sump battery back up pump. The church has only one M53 cast iron sump pump but if ever needed an additional pump could be installed very easily.
Drainage Line
Proper drainage line is buried and take the discharged water away from the foundation of the church.
Covered Discharge Line
Earth and concrete replaced to cover the discharge line.
