Dehumifiers
The basement had 2 store bought dehumidifiers in an attempt to control the humidity. Humidity level under 55% is very important to control mold.
Down Spout Awareness
Because of the driveway running along the side of the home, the downspouts don't have a great place to drain. The water is still being dumped at the foundation and absorbed in to the block.
Lots of Green
This area will stay wet more than other areas because of the shade and heavy greenery.
Access Points
Areas of the foundation that have had holes drilled for utilities may also provide water access if not sealed properly.
Trench Drain for the Entry
To continue the interior waterproofing around the footing, a trench drain was the best solution for doors and entries.
Interior Drainage
WaterGuard interior drainage system sits on the footing collecting water and draining to the sump pump system. Lateral lines run through other areas that are not on a footing.
Dehumidifier and Sump Pump System
This small and mighty SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier is able to handle the humidity needs of the home and water will be discharged in to the sump pump liner. The TripleSafe Sump System has an air tight lid, so once the Sedona has drained water in to the liner it will not continue to pull that same water from the air and recycle.
