Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Flooding to Flawless- Encapsulated Crawl Space in Clarksville, TN

The heavy rainfall hit this almost 2 decades old home quick and bad. The new homeowners did not know that their crawl space would have inches of rainwater on the ground, but when it occurred they knew they had to get it fixed immediately. The outcome of a moist and flooding crawl space leads to big problems, such as rot and mold and could lead to expensive repairs in the long run.Our crew got to work!They removed the flooding rainwater, cleared the crawl space of debris, and go to work installing a few of our favorite waterproofing products. A solution to their flooding problems was the SmartPipe Crawl Space Drainage System, along with Drainage Matting, and a Sump Pump to pump that water out into a drain outside of the home. To finish up, our crew encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier and put on a heavy-duty EverLast crawl space door!Their crawl space went from unhealthy and flooding to clean and water-free!

SmartPipe Drainage System Installed

After our crew got the flooding water out, they wanted to make sure there was a reliable way to lead the water out of the crawl space so mold and mildew will not grow. The SmartPipe has custom designed holes on the top and front to accept water from the soil and surface of your crawl space.

Drainage System Covered

Since our crew dug out a space to install the SmartPipe, they then covered it back up so our liner and matting have an even ground to lay on, and to have a smooth surface to ensure no one trips over the SmartPipe or steps on it.

Our crew then put down the drainage matting which is a dimpled plastic mat material that creates a drainage space that helps water find its way out.

CleanSpace Liner Installed

We made sure to cover the floor and walls with the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, so none of the grounds moisture gets absorbed into their wood panels.

SaniDry Dehumidifier and Sump Pump Installed

The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifer and Sump Pump are a MUST with any basement or crawl space that has a lot of moisture, especially one that floods! The dehumidifier keeps the humidity below 55%, so mold will not stand a chance, and the sump pump system is a powerful and reliable pump that makes sure that flooding rain water gets OUT of your home!

Drain Installed

The SmartPipe drain, matting, and sump pump did the job of collecting and pumping the water out, but now where does it go? This customer chose to have an outside drain and discharge line installed to carry the water away from their home!

Crawl Space Door Installed

Last, but not least the EverLast Crawl Space Door was installed. This door is the cherry on top for this encapsulation job! The EverLast door is made out of 1/2'" thick solid plastic that will never rust, rot, or need paint, and is 100% airtight!
