This crawl space in Scottsville Kentucky was having a lot of moisture and water problems. Concerned with the smell it was creating in their home, they wanted to resolve this problem quickly. Frontier sent out a design specialist to meet with the homeowners and it was decided that Smart Pipe and a Triple Safe sump pump were the right options for this crawl space. SmartPipe is designed with holes on the top and front to accept water from the soil and surface of your crawl space. The TripleSafe sump pump is designed to collect this water brought from the SmartPipe and take it away from the home. Together these systems work beautifully together.
TripleSafe
This is a picture of the TripleSafe sump pump. After the water is collected from the crawl space the sump pump then takes the water away from the home.
SmartPipe
Trenches are dug into the floor/earth of the crawl space and then SmartPipe is laid down. The SmartPipe absorbs the water from the ground around it and takes it to the TripleSafe to then remove it from the home and crawlspace.
Drain line.
After everything is done under the home, the crew then digs a trench away from the home. This is to ensure the water does not come back. The reason they bury it under the ground is to avoid any tripping hazards or unsightly drain lines.
