Before Photo
This is normally what a crawl space looks like before we go in there and clean everything out. You can see dirt and debris and if dirt and debris can get in, so can water.
Insulation
Insulation is an ideal material to absorb water and moisture. The only thing mold needs to go is a little bit of moisture and some warmth. A crawl space is an ideal environment for this.
Foundation issues
A majority of the homes built are built with wooden floor joists. These are what hold up the floor and maintain stability. The issue is that over time when exposed to moisture and water these floor joists can actually begin to rot.
