Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing in Princeton, Kentucky

The homeowners were worried about the moisture on the ground and the musty smells in their basement. Frontier sent a design specialist to their home to address their concerns and together with the homeowners, it was decided that the WaterGuard System was the best solution. The pipe system, which is designed to handle the heaviest rains, was installed underneath the perimeter edge of the basement. This drainage pipe system runs to the Triple Sump Pump, which collects excessive water and pumps it out, several feet away from the house. The homeowners never have to worry about a moist or flooded basement again!

Materials

This was an extensive project and our crew needed a lots of different materials to waterproof the basement and repair its foundation.

Trenches were dug up where the WaterGuard drainage system will be placed.

The WaterGuard System is a system of pipes that drain water to the Triple Sump Pump, which shoots it out, away from the house.

The WaterGuard Drainage System drains excessive water to the sump pump.

The drainage pipe system collects excessive water that gets to the basement during heavy rains and leads it to the Triple Sump Pump, which pumps the water out of the basement. And the basement stays waterproofed!

The trenches are covered with gravel and concrete after the Water Guard pipes were put in.

Triple Sump Pump

The Triple Sump Pump is installed on the lowest side of the basement so it can collect running water from the Water Guard drainage system. As we know, water runs downhill. The Triple Sump pump collects the water and then pumps it out from the basement.

Besides waterproofing this basement, we also helped stabilize the foundation.

In this photo, you can see the LawnScape Well that is installed several feet away from the house, so the water won't enter the basement again. Closer to the house, you can see Ice Guards that save the day whenever there is too much water or snow and serve as a back up or extra outlet for water to escape.

The Triple Sump Pump is connected to a pipe that drains water out of the basement, to the LawnScape, which is installed several feet away from the house. Water escapes far enough from the house and never enters it again!
