Waterproofing this house in Columbia, Tennessee, turned out to be a bigger project than we expected when the homeowner initially called us. The house had cracks in the foundation, which were letting water into the basement, where it was accumulating with every rain. We needed to support the foundation walls first to stabilize them and eliminate the cracks. We installed a moisture barrier CleanSpace on all walls. Then, we focused on the waterproofing the basement. In addition to our waterproofing system with a TripleSafe sump pump, we added a dehumidifier to control humidity levels in the basement to prevent mold growth.

If any water gets in the basement from under the basement door, it will go straight to our WaterGuard system. WG is installed around all basement walls to catch water from any direction it would try to get in.

The humidity levels were too high in this basement. Our design specialist is using a humidity meter to measure humidity levels under the house. Too much humidity means potential mold growth and bad air that gets in the living area above the basement and can cause allergies. To control the humidity, we installed SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.
