This customer in Nashville, TN called Frontier for their basement waterproofing needs. To waterproof their basement, we installed a WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system, a DryTrak Two-Stage Waterproofing System, and a TripleSafe sump pump to pump water through the drainage lines. CleanSpace wall liner was also added as an extra barrier from moisture. We also installed a Trench drain where vehicle traffic enters. We finished the project with an IceGuard to prevent floods from clogged or frozen discharge lines and a LawnScape system. Now, their basement is dry and clean.

An area around the perimeter is excavated to place the WaterGuard subfloor drainage system.

Trench Drain

A trench drain is installed in high traffic areas like doorways. Water will fall into the drain and be funneled through the WaterGuard system and out the drainage lines.

Our most popular drainage system, WaterGuard® is the ideal solution for most basement waterproofing applications. Unlike old-fashioned drain tile systems installed on the outside of the home, WaterGuard® is installed just underneath the perimeter edge of the basement floor.

Installation Process

After the WaterGuard system is put in place, CleanSpace liner in added over it before it is cemented in place, CleanSpace is also added to the walls.

Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.

IceGuard and LawnScape System

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
