Dirty crawl space
This crawl space had a cheap, thin liner that was not protecting the house from moisture from entering the crawl space.
Exposed soil
Dirt contains moisture from the earth that will evaporate, rise, and create condensation on cooler surfaces like the HVAC system or air ducts. When condensation and humidity live together, it is a breeding ground for mold to grow. Mold releases mold spores into the air that flows right through your home which can bring a musty smell throughout your living space, and can cause allergies to flare up and can even make asthma to develop!
Starting encapsulation process
Frontier Basement Systems makes sure to always give the best permanent solution to each and every customer. We start the encapsulation process by getting rid of that old, thin liner that wasn't protecting your home in the first place.
Air Sealing
This homeowner wanted to make sure that the crawl space would have a controllable temperature throughout. We closed all vents so moisture and humidity cannot come through, then we air sealed around all edges.
CleanSpace
Our CleanSpace liner is thick, white, durable, and mold resistant. We cover not only the floors, but the walls as well to make sure that humidity and moisture cannot find it's way through cracks and voids that the concrete blocks may have.
New crawl space door
Most crawl space doors are made from wood or metal that just rot, rust, and fall apart over time. Our Crawl Space Entry Doors are made from a non-organic substance so it will not rot, rust, or deteriorate over time. It's air-tight seal will keep out all humidity, moisture, and unwanted pests from entering your home!
