Crawl space entry
This entry way has water damage done to it. It was not protecting the crawl space from moisture that was seeping into the home.
Exposed dirt floors
Dirt contains moisture from the ground that will eventually evaporate, rise, and create condensation when the warm, humid air reaches a cooler surface such as an air duct or HVAC system. Condensation can cause mold to grow which will cause deterioration on a home.
Foundation deterioration
When moisture is present in a crawl space, it can cause foundations to rot which can result in sagging floors.
Dirty
Moisture along with humid air brings not only mold into a crawl space, can also invite unwanted pests into a home such as roaches, spiders, stink bugs, and even small rodents. Yuck!
