Good Product in a Bad Place
Because fiberglass insulation is not designed for the level of moisture in an un encapsulated crawlspace it's not able to remain within the joists, instead it becomes too heavy and begins to fall out. Insects and mold also like to make a meal out of it too...
Not just safe, but TripleSafe
Water problems should always be addressed before encapsulation, so you can see that we have installed a TripleSafe pump system to collect water and pump it through the discharge line.
Insulation
As well as the removal of the floor joist insulation we were able to add closed cell spray insulation to the walls and floor joists, which is unaffected by relative humidity.
No Air Leaks
This picture shows the full extend of sealing the crawlspace from all air leaks and water penetrations - The Cleanspace liner is taped to the wall, the spray foam insulation is within the joists and all external pipes have been sealed with polyurethane caulking.
