Too much moisture in the wood is perfect for mold growth and will soften the wood. Overtime this will create wood rot and sagging floors.

For a home only a few months old the insulation is already soiled and hanging in areas. As insulation absorbs water it gets soiled and heavy; moisture is kept closer to the joist creating mold problems, floors are no longer insulated as well, its not very attractive to look at, and can create odors smelt in the home above.

Cleaned out the black plastic and soiled insulation. Proper Grading Vapor barrier CleanSpace wrap on the walls.
Joist Sealed
Rim joist are insulated and sealed.
Drainage Matting
A dimpled drainage matting is laid down next this allows for necessary ground water to flow and prevent puddles under the vapor barrier. It offers a little additional protection to the vapor barrier against wear and tear. It is also provides a softer surface if you need to crawl under there.
Fully Encapsulated
The space is waterproofed, insulated, protected.
Prevent Air Leaks
Spray foam insulated any potential air leaks at the joist or utilities holes. The family does not need to worry about drafty floors or frozen pipes.
