Soil Ground
An uncovered soil ground is the reason for a lot of moisture in this crawl space. Every crawl space needs a thick vapor barrier liner that will stop the moisture from unleashing into your space and infecting your wood beams.
Relative Humidity
This crawl space had a 100% humidity level. That is well over the 50% level that is recommended. Above 50% RH is when mold, mold spores, and dust mites thrive in. If you have indoor allergens and can't pinpoint where they are coming from.. it is very possible that it is coming from one of those three things!
Mold Growing
Excessive moisture leads to mold growth. Mold and wood is not a good combination, because it can weaken the floors that hold the weight of your furniture and people.
Unhealthy & Smelly Air
The insulation in this home's walls is growing mold and is very dirty. If you're wondering what that musty smell in your living quarters are, it could very well be that.. or the fact that the air we breathe upstairs comes from our crawl space/basement!
CleanSpace Drainage Matting
This matting goes under the CleanSpace Liner. The raised dimples helps it become a channel for water to flow to the designated drain/sump pump.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
This liner is 20mil thick, has a 7-layer polyethylene composition and polyester cord reinforcement. It will ensure the moisture from your soil ground will stay in the ground!
SuperSump Plus
Inexpensive sump pumps with plastic housings are prone to overheating and burnout. All Basement Systems sump pumps are equipped with powerful, top-quality Zoeller sump pumps. The unit installed in our SuperSump is one of the best, capable of pumping up to 2,280 gallons per hour.
SaniDry Dehumidifier
Our powerful dehumidifier keep the humidity below 50% and it connects to a drain/sump pump, so you never have to worry about dumping it out yourself!
IceGuard
The IceGuard prevents flooding when the discharge lines becomes frozen. It has an engineered perforated top that will release the collected water.
