Moisture & Soil
Uncovered soil ground is not good for your crawl space. The soil contains moisture from the ground that eventually will evaporate, rise, and create condensation when the warm, humid air reaches a cooler surface. This condensation sits on your wood beams that are holding up your family and furniture and weakens them, causing unlevel and "bouncy" floors.
Open Vents
Open vents are seen as a good thing for crawl spaces.. they let the outside air circulate around in the space making it not as stuffy, but guess what? That open vent is bringing in outside humidity, moisture, temperature, and BUGS. It is best to seal out all of those things once and for all.
Drainage Matting
The raised dimples on the drainage matting help stuck water get to its designated drain. It goes under the liner and also acts as an extra protective layer against sharp rocks.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier Liner
This liner is 20 mil thick and made to reduce moisture and humidity in the crawl space. It can also lower your energy bills!
