Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: CleanSppace encapsulation in Hopkinsville, KY.

These homeowners in Hopkinsville Kentucky wanted to utilize their crawl space for extra storage; having tried in the past with little success due to extreme moisture or water damaging whatever they stored there they contacted Frontier Basement Systems for a solution. Frontier sent a design specialist to their home to address their concerns. Together with the homeowners it was decided that a full encapsulation of the crawl space with CleanSpace was the right solution for this home.

Before Photo

This is a photo of what the crawl space looked like before our crew got in there and cleaned everything out. As you can see the crawl space is nice and tall but really dirty and unusable.

Drainage Matting

Drainage matting is put down after everything is cleaned out and smoothed. It is designed to allow water and moisture to flow underneath the vapor barrier to the sump pump.

CleanSpace

CleanSpace is a 20-mil thick vapor barrier what goes over the drainage matting that is designed to keep water and moisture out of the crawl space.

Drainage line

After all of the water and moisture is collected from the crawl space it is then taken outside. The drainage line is long enough and far enough away from the home to ensure the water does not return.
