These homeowners in Springfield Tennessee were suffering from squeaky floors, wanting to get this fixed they contacted Frontier Basement Systems. A design specialist was sent to their home and it turns out the moisture content of their crawl space was so high it was actually beginning to warp their floorboards. The first step was removing that moisture. It was decided with the homeowners that a full encapsulation of the crawl space with CleanSpace was the right solution for their home.

Before Photo

This is what the homeowners crawl space looked like before our crews got in there and cleaned everything out. After it was cleaned out it was leveled to ensure proper installation of drainage matting.

Drainage Matting

Drainage matting is put down after everything is cleaned and leveled out. It is designed to allowed water and moisture to flow easily under the vapor barrier without it getting into the crawl space.

After the drainage matting is installed CleanSpace is put down next. CleanSpace is a 20-mil thick vapor barrier designed to keep water and moisture out of a crawl space. What a difference from the before photo! Their crawl space looks great!
