Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Cunningham, TN
This homeowner in Cunningham, TN, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to encapsulate their crawl space. Once on sight, our crew discovered an older vapor barrier that had suffered quite a bit of damage. We removed the thin vapor barrier, exposing the dirt floor of the crawl space. Our crew then rolled out drainage matting that will form a cushion under the new vapor barrier and assist with water flow out of the crawl space. Then, our CleanSpace vapor barrier was laid across the floors and along the walls of the crawl space. This vapor barrier is durable and bright, making your crawl space a more welcoming spot in your home. To control moisture levels in the crawl space, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed. For pumping out large amounts of water, we also installed a TripleSafe sump pump system.
Dirty Crawl Space
The older vapor barrier is damaged and covered in dirt.
Dirty Insulation
This type of insulation is usually removed by our crew as it only collects moisture, making it detrimental to the health of the crawl space.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting goes under the vapor barrier, forming a type of cushion underneath.
Completed Encapsulation
A fully encapsulated crawl space is more energy efficient and capable of storage.
Dehumidifier
A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier removes moisture in the air, preventing mold growth.
Sump Pump
The TripleSafe sump pump system is specially designed to remove any amount of standing water that may find its way into the crawl space.
Crawl Space Opening
After encapsulation, it is much easier to enter the crawl space as there are no debris blocking the way.
