When our crew entered the space, they discovered a damaged vapor barrier and sagging fiberglass insulation. Along the concrete walls of the crawl space was evidence that water had been in the space at some point. On the wooden joists of the crawl space, mold could be seen. First, the old vapor barrier was removed as well as the damp insulation. Drainage matting was rolled across the dirt floor to help with the flow of water from under the vapor barrier to out of the crawl space. Over the matting, a CleanSpace vapor barrier was applied to the walls and floors, ensuring the space is protected from water damage. To control any moisture inside the space, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed. SilverGlo insulation panels were placed on the crawl space vents for added insulation.
