Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Gallatin, TN
This homeowner in Gallatin, TN, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair when they decided to have their crawl space encapsulated. We evaluated the space and found various signs of water damage inside. Mold had grown on the wooden joists, and the concrete walls showed signs that water had entered the crawl space at some point. The first thing we did was remove the old vapor barrier that was damaged and no longer serving its purpose. After removing the barrier, we rolled out drainage matting and a CleanSpace vapor barrier to waterproof the space. We sealed up the open air vents in the space to prevent air from blowing into the crawl space and up into the living areas of the home. For additional moisture control, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. With our encapsulation complete, this crawl space is now protected from water damage!
