Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Tuscumbia, AL

This customer in Tuscumbia, AL had moisture and mold issues inside their crawl space. They called Frontier out to mitigate the situation. They decided on a partial encapsulation. This included cleaning the old wet insulation out as well as all other debris in the crawl space. After that we installed Drainage matting on all the crawl space flooring, followed by CleanSpace on the floors, and walls, and wrapped around the piers. After that was installed we added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to pull excess moisture from the air.

Before Work

Before work begins, we inspect the crawl space for visible signs of moisture issues. We also take readings to see the level of humidity in the crawl space and between the wood floor joists.

Wet Insulation

Insulation is visibly showing signs of moisture issues, when it looks soggy, is falling down, and coming apart, its time to take care of the excess moisture. It won't go away on its own!
