Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Clarksville, TN
When this homeowner in Clarksville, TN, opted to have their crawl space encapsulated, they contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair for help. Inside the crawl space, we discovered a dirty vapor barrier that was no longer protecting the space from water intrusion and the many issues that come with that. If a crawl space is not properly encapsulated, then it is susceptible to mold, wood rot, and other types of water damage. After we removed the old vapor barrier, we rolled out drainage matting to help with the flow of water under the new CleanSpace vapor barrier. We also applied the CleanSpace barrier along the walls and around the smartjacks in the crawl space. To combat high humidity levels, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Close to the crawl space entryway, we installed a sump pump system to remove any standing water in the crawl space. Finally, we replaced the old metal crawl space door with our EverLast crawl space door.
