When this homeowner in Belton, KY, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair they were not prepared for what our inspector found. Inside the crawl space, there were puddles of standing water, water stains on the concrete walls, and flourishing mold growth. Water in a crawl space leads to a plethora of issues, such as musty smells and weakening wood joists. Our crew got to work rolling out drainage matting across the dirt floor of the crawl space. On top of the matting, we applied and sealed a CleanSpace vapor barrier; and, along the walls, we applied a thinner version of our CleanSpace barrier. Along the perimeter, we placed EZ-Flow tubes to help water flow to the lowest part of the crawl space. In the lowest part of the crawl space, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump system, which is designed to pump water out and away from the crawl space and home. This eliminates the threat of flooding. To control the humidity in the crawl space or prevent mold growth, we installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Now, this crawl space is sealed off from water and the damage that comes with it.
