Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Clarksville, TN
This homeowner in Clarksville, TN, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have their crawl space encapsulated. When our skilled technician arrived on site, he discovered fallen insulation and evidence that standing water had been in the crawl space at once. After our technician evaluated the crawl space, our crew was sent out to begin the work. First, the crew removed debris and fallen insulation from inside the crawl space. We then rolled out drainage matting to help facilitate the flow of water out of the crawl space. On top of the drainage matting, along the walls, and around the pillars, we applied a CleanSpace vapor barrier to lock moisture out of the space. The open crawl space vents were covered with SilverGlo insulation to regulate the temperature in the crawl space. To control excess humidity, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed in the crawl space. Now, this crawl space will be protected from water intrusion for years to come.
Crawl Space Before
Before, the crawl space had an existing but damaged barrier as well as fallen insulation.
Fallen Insulation
Fiberglass insulation soaks up water like a sponge, causing the insulation to hang and fall.
Signs of Water Damage
Along the walls, you can see evidence that water has been in the crawl space at some point.
Open Vent
Crawl space vents bring in air that mixes with the crawl space air, creating a dirty cloud of air that seeps up into the living areas.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting is dimpled, which allows water to flow underneath the vapor barrier and out of the crawl space.
CleanSpace Moisture Barrier
Our durable vapor barrier locks moisture out and can help save money on utility bills.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
Our crawl space dehumidifier is designed to keep humidity levels under 55 percent.
