Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Clarksville, TN
This homeowner in Clarksville, TN, reached out to Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair when they began noticing musty smells in their home. After an evaluation from one of our skilled technicians, a full encapsulation was suggested. When our crew arrived at the site, they started clearing the debris and removing the old vapor barrier from the crawl space. Then, they laid out drainage matting across the crawl space's dirt floor. Over the drainage matting, we applied our CleanSpace vapor barrier. We also applied a thinner version of our CleanSpace barrier to the walls and around columns in the crawl space. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed in the space to control humidity and prevent mold growth. Finally, we completed the encapsulation by installing our durable EverLast crawl space door.
Entrance Before
Before encapsulation, the crawl space door was made of simple wood.
Crawl Space Before
Before encapsulation, the crawl space had a rocky floor and exposed columns.
Old Vapor Barrier and Hanging Insulation
The crawl space's old vapor barrier was no longer covering the crawl space floor, and the insulation had begun to sag due to water absorption.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting is dimpled to allow water to easily flow under the vapor barrier.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
Our bright white barrier covers the floor, walls, and columns of the crawl space.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
A crawl space dehumidifier is an important piece of equipment in an encapsulated crawl space, as it controls humidity levels.
EverLast Door
Our EverLast crawl space door is made of inorganic materials, so it will not rot or rust.
