Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Florence, AL
This homeowner in Florence, AL, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have their crawl space encapsulated. Once inside the crawl space, our inspector discovered high levels of humidity. This high humidity caused mold to grow and thrive inside the space. The high moisture content in the air also caused the fiberglass insulation to soak up the water like a sponge. This led to fallen insulation throughout the crawl space. The existing barrier in the crawl space was no longer covering the floor, exposing the damp ground. We recommended a complete encapsulation with drainage matting being rolled out across the floor, while the CleanSpace vapor barrier is applied on top of the matting and along the crawl space's malls. To combat the very high levels of humidity, we recommended installing a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
