Crawl Space Before Project
Obvious signs of moisture in the crawl space, from the wet vapor barrier to the dripping insulation.
Moisture Readings
Taking moisture level readings in the crawl space to get an accurate picture of how much outside air and moisture is coming in.
Additional Testing
We will take moisture reading on the outside of the home, then the inside of the crawl space, the insulation, and directly into the wood floor joists. This gives us a complete picture of what is going on and how to proceed.
Waterproofing Project Starting
Here, the old vapor barrier has been removed, all the wet insulation as well. We have stabilized the structure with SmartJacks, and now started waterproofing by wrapping the piers in CleanSapce liner.
CleanSpace
CleanSpace is being installed on the walls of the crawl space.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting is now added to the floor so if any water rises up from the ground it will flow under the matting, not into the crawl space to be absorbed into the air.
CleanSpace Liner
CleanSpace liner is added to walls, floors, and wrapped around the piers. You can see the technician securing it together with specialized tape.
CleanSpace Installation Complete
The entire crawl space is now encapsulated with the CleanSpace liner. Look at the difference, the space is so clean and dry now! It can now be a usable space for storage, while also protecting the home from moisture and mold and foundational issues.
SaniDry Sedona
The project is now complete with the installation of the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Any excess moisture in the air will be captured.
