Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Rainsville, AL
This homeowner in Rainsville, AL, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have their home's crawl space evaluated. Once inside the space, our technician discovered evidence of water intrusion as well as signs of mold and wood rot. The cluttered crawl space had an old vapor barrier that was no longer serving its purpose, as standing water could be found on top of the barrier. After the evaluation, our technician recommended a complete encapsulation of the crawl space. This would involve adding drainage matting on top of the dirt floor. After rolling out the drainage matting, we would apply a CleanSpace vapor barrier on top as well as around the columns and along the walls. Finally, we would add a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep moisture levels down inside the crawl space.
