Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Arab, AL
This homeowner in Arab, AL, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have their space evaluated. Inside the crawl space, our technician discovered mold growth as well as standing water. The one form of protection -- an old vapor barrier -- was damaged and coated with dirt. The walls showed clear stains from water seeping in through the concrete blocks. The crawl space's door was constructed of wood and had begun to deteriorate. After the evaluation, we recommended a full crawl space encapsulation. All debris would be removed before drainage matting is rolled out across the dirt floor. On top of the matting and along the walls and columns, we would apply our CleanSpace vapor barrier on top of the matting and along the walls and columns. To control moisture levels, we would install our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Finally, we would replace the old crawl space door with our EverLast door, which is made of inorganic materials that will not break down.
