Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Huntsville, AL
This homeowner in Huntsville, AL, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have their crawl space inspected. Once inside the crawl space, our technician discovered evidence that water had infiltrated the crawl space. The only protection against moisture was a simple vapor barrier that was no longer covering the dirt floor of the crawl space. Mold was found growing in the space, indicating an issue with moisture. Upon this discovery, our technician recommended that the crawl space be fully encapsulated. All clutter and debris would be removed, including the old vapor barrier. Across the dirt floor, drainage matting would be placed to facilitate the flow of water out of the crawl space. We would then apply our CleanSpace vapor barrier on top of the matting and along the walls. Finally, to keep humidity levels down, we would install a SaniDry Sedona crawl space dehumidifier.
