Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Orlinda, TN

When a homeowner in Orlinda, TN, decided to have their crawl space encapsulated, they reached out to Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair for assistance. Upon inspection, we found that the existing vapor barrier was dirty and ineffective in preventing water intrusion and its associated problems. An inadequately encapsulated crawl space can lead to issues such as mold, wood rot, and other water damage. We first removed the old vapor barrier and installed drainage matting to facilitate water flow beneath the new CleanSpace vapor barrier. We also applied the CleanSpace barrier to the walls in the crawl space. To address high humidity, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Additionally, we set up a sump pump system near the crawl space entry to handle any standing water. Finally, we replaced the old metal crawl space door with our EverLast crawl space door.
