Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Hendersonville, TN
This homeowner in Hendersonville, TN, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have their home's crawl space evaluated. Once inside the crawl space, our design specialist discovered a dark, cluttered space. The old vapor was worn and bunched up in certain spots, exposing the dirt floor. After evaluating the space, our specialist recommended encapsulating the crawl space. When our crawl space crew arrived on site, they began work by clearing out debris and the old vapor barrier. They sealed off any open vents with our SilverGlo insulation panels. The crew then applied a thin version of our CleanSpace vapor barrier to the walls and around the columns of the space. On top of the dirt floor, we rolled out our drainage matting to help with the flow of water underneath the thicker CleanSpace barrier we apply on top of the matting. To combat humidity and prevent mold growth, we installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. As a final touch, we replaced the door with our durable EverLast door.
Dirty Vapor Barrier
Before, the crawl space's vapor barrier was very damaged and coated in mud and dirt.
Open Vent
Open crawl space vents should be sealed to prevent outside air from blowing inside and mixing with the musty crawl space air.
Evidence of Water
Water stains along the walls and on the vapor barrier indicate that water was inside the crawl space at one point.
Drainage Matting
Our drainage matting is dimpled to facilitate the flow of water underneath the vapor barrier and out of the crawl space.
CleanSpace
Our CleanSpace vapor barrier creates a clean environment inside the crawl space.
A View From Inside
Our crew ensures the CleanSpace vapor barrier is sealed tight to the frame of the crawl space door.
Crawl Space Dehumdifier
Our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier keeps moisture levels under 55 percent, preventing mold from forming.
Crawl Space Door
Our EverLast crawl space door is constructed of inorganic materials that will not rust or rot.
