This homeowner in Ashland City, TN, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have their damp crawl space encapsulated. Upon evaluation, we discovered clear signs of water intrusion, such as mold growth, damp wood, and stained walls. We began the encapsulation by removing any debris as well as the old vapor barrier. We then rolled out our dimpled drainage matting to facilitate the flow of water underneath the new vapor barrier. We then applied our CleanSpace vapor barrier on top of the matting. Along the walls and around the columns, we applied a thinner version of this barrier. To combat humidity, we installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
