Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Nashville, TN
This homeowner in Nashville, TN, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have their home's crawl space evaluated. Once our skilled technician entered the space, they discovered a dark, moldy space. After discussing with the homeowner, we decided to fully encapsulate the space. First, we removed the old vapor barrier and any debris from the crawl space. Our dimpled drainage matting was then rolled out across the dirt floor. On top of this matting, we applied our 20-mil-thick CleanSpace vapor barrier. Along the walls and around the crawl space's columns, we also applied a thinner version of our CleanSpace barrier. To ensure the crawl space does not flood, we installed a drainage system known as a sump pump to flush water out. To combat the high humidity levels that caused mold in the space, we installed our SaniDry Sedona crawl space dehumidifier.
