Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Madison, TN

This homeowner in Madison, TN contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have their home's crawl space encapsulated. Before, the crawl space was open with several spots where water was seeping into the space. Mold flourished on the wooden floor joists. Standing water was also found throughout the space. Our system design specialist recommended a complete encapsulation with a sump pump system. Once our crew arrived on site, they removed all debris from the space, including the old vapor barrier. They then began digging a trench around the perimeter of the crawl space to place the EZ-Flow drainage tubes, which will feed water into the sump pump system. In the lowest portion of the crawl space, we put the actual sump pump with a drainage line running out and away from the crawl space. Across the dirt floor, we rolled out dimpled drainage matting to help with the flow of water under the vapor barrier, which is applied on top of the matting as well as around columns and along the walls. To combat high moisture levels, we installed a crawl space dehumidifier. As a finishing touch, we replaced the old crawl space door with our EverLast crawl space door.
