Before Project Starts
View of the crawl space before the project starts. The vapor barrier is muddy, insulation is dripping from the ceiling, the floor is being help up by makeshift piers. These are all concerning indications of moisture issues.
Moisture Levels
Taking moisture readings inside the crawl space to see how much moisture is in the air inside the crawl space.
Floor Joists
Getting moisture levels in the wood of the floor joists. This will tell us how much moisture the wood has absorbed. This will be compared with the moisture readings in the crawl space, outside, and inside the home. These calculations will give us an accurate picture of what is going on.
Crawl Space Debris
All of this debris like the old vapor barrier will be removed before this project starts.
Mold Treated and CleanSpace Added
The mold on the wood floor joists has been treated and drainage matting installed, and finally everything is covered with CleanSpace liner. Fully insulating this crawl space from outside air.
Piers Wrapped and Insulated with Spray Foam
We have wrapped the piers with CleanSpace and secured and further insulated them with spray foam insulation. This not only helps with securing it, but stops any moisture or air escaping since the piers are not exactly level or perfectly square.
Project Complete
This project is now complete. All the mold has been treated and the space lined with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. A stark contrast to the first picture of the muddy and moldy crawl space.
