Moisture Damage
You can see the physical signs of moisture damage in this crawl space. The vapor barrier is muddy and ripped apart. There are water lines at the bottom of the concrete piers where water is seeping out.
Crawl Space Debris
This old vapor barrier and the rest of the crawl space debris will be cleaned out before this project begins.
Moisture Readings
Taking moisture readings in the wood floor joists. This gives us an accurate picture of how much water has been absorbed in the wooden floor joists. This will lead to wood rot and mold issues.
Drainage Matting
This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.
Piers Wrapped
After drainage matting is installed the support piers are wrapped in CleanSpace liner.
CleanSpace
One of the key ingredients in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable, 20mil plastic sheet material designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air and pests from getting into your crawl space.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
Humidity and condensation in a crawl space is a recipe for disaster. Excess moisture leads to mold growth, wood rot, and foul odors, causing issues for your home's health, air quality, and value.
Sealing Air Leaks
Sealing air leaks around the crawl space door to make sure no outside air gets into the crawl space.
