Before Project Begins
This crawl space is showing obvious signs of moisture damage. There is pooling water around the perimeter, a wet vapor barrier, and other debris caused by excess moisture.
Floor Joist Moisture
Checking the level of moisture in the wood floor joists. These readings will be compared with readings taken in the crawl space, outside the home, and inside the first floor of the home. With all these readings we will get an accurate reading of moisture levels inside the crawl space.
Debris Removal
All the debris in the crawl space has been removed so the project can begin.
Drainage Matting
This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.
Crawl Space Door
Any air leaks from the crawl space door are sealed off with spray foam insulation. Another step in keeping the outside air from getting into the crawl space.
Sealing Air Leaks
All areas where air flow can penetrate are sealed off with SilverGlo Panels and spray foam insulation.
CleanSpace® vapor barrier
One of the key ingredients in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable, 20mil plastic sheet material designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air and pests from getting into your crawl space.
Vents Sealed
Sealing your crawl space vents stops the cycle of cold, humidity, and moisture entering from the outside air.
Piers Wrapped
Piers are wrapped in CleanSpace® poly to create a continuous air and moisture barrier.
SaniDry Sedona
The SaniDry Sedona has been installed to pull any excess moisture from the air. With this product now installed the project is complete.
