This customer in Nashville, TN called Frontier after they completed a home inspection on their crawl space. The home inspector advised them to install a support pier, and vapor barrier, remove the mold discovered growing in the rotted floor joists as well, and replace the rotted crawl space door in order to pass inspection. Our team came out, removed all the debris from the crawl space, installed a SmartJack support beam, remediated the mold, put down Drainage matting and CleanSpace liner, installed a TripleSafe sump pump and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and to finish the project a new secure crawl space door.

Encapsulation Process

The vents have been sealed with SilverGlo panels, drainage matting has been installed on the crawl space floor, and CleanSpace is starting to be installed over the concrete block walls.

For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.

The encapsulation treatment totally separates and protects the crawl space interior from outdoor conditions, keeping the space clean and dry.

IceGuard and Lawnscape

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
