Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Clarksville, TN
A homeowner in Huntsville, AL, contacted us to evaluate their crawl space. During the inspection, our system design specialist noticed signs of water intrusion and recommended a full encapsulation. We began by removing debris, including the old vapor barrier. Next, we installed dimpled drainage matting across the dirt floor to ensure proper water flow. On top of the matting, we laid down our high-quality CleanSpace vapor barrier, which was also applied to the walls and around the crawl space support columns in a thinner layer. To enhance insulation, we sealed the open vents with SilverGlo insulation blocks. We then excavated a trench around the perimeter to install EZ-Flow drainage tubes, which direct water to a sump pump system placed at the lowest point of the crawl space. To control humidity, we added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Finally, we replaced the old crawl space door with a sturdy EverLast model for improved protection.
