Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Repair in Brentwood, TN

This customer in Brentwood, TN called Frontier for a crawl space encapsulation to address the moisture issues in their crawl space. This included installing EZ Flow, adding drainage matting to the floors, covering the entire crawl space with our CleanSpace liner, and adding a TripleSafe sump pump. We also installed IceGuard drainage lines. We finished the project by connecting a LawnScape system that will carry all the water captured out to the yard away from the structure to protect the foundation.

Crawl Space During Inspection

During the inspection, obvious signs of water damage are visible from standing water and muddy areas on top of the old vapor barrier.

EZ Flow

EZ Flow Crawl Space Drainage System is installed to prevent flooding in this dirt crawl space. EZ Flow features a filter fabric with holes on the top and front to accept water from the soil and surface of your crawl space. The pipe also collects water seepage from the crawl space walls and the footing/wall joint.

Drainage Matting Installed

This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

Insulating between the Floor Joists

We used RimTite Joist Insulation Spray Foam where the wet insulation was removed between the wood floor joists.

CleanSpace

One key ingredient in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable 20-mil plastic sheet designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space.

The SaniDry Sedona

The Sedona easily fits in small crawl spaces, yet has a powerful blower to effectively dry large crawl spaces. Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. As a high-efficiency dehumidifier, the Sedona removes more moisture (100 pints per day) for less electricity cost than conventional models.

IceGuard and LawnScape System

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning.
