This customer in Nashville, TN called Frontier for a crawl space encapsulation. For this project, we cleaned up all the debris, installed EZ Flow tubing, and added drainage matting, a CleanSpace liner, and SilverGlo panels for extra insulation. We also installed our TripleSafe sump pump and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. For drainage, we installed an IceGuard and LawnScape system and to finish this project we added a new secure EverLast crawl space door.

Crawl Space During Inspection

During the crawl space inspection, the old vapor barrier shows obvious signs of water intrusion.

Moisture Issues

Moisture, mold and falling, failing insulation are problems in this crawl space, which hasn't been properly sealed.

Mold Growth

Mold is visible growing on the wooden floor joists. This is due to high humidity levels in the crawl space and if not addressed it will continue to grow and start to rot the wood.

EZ Flow

EZ Flow Crawl Space Drainage System is installed to prevent flooding in this dirt crawl space. EZ Flow features a filter fabric with holes on the top and front to accept water from the soil and surface of your crawl space. The pipe also collects water seepage from the crawl space walls and the footing/wall joint.

Drainage Matting Installed

Drainage matting is installed. This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

A TripleSafe® Sump Pump System (shown here), combined with a SaniDry® dehumidifier, represents the ultimate in crawl space waterproofing and humidity control.

CleanSpace and SilverGlow Panels

The CleanSpace liner and SilverGlow panels are installed. This encapsulation treatment totally separates and protects the crawl space interior from outdoor conditions, keeping the space clean and dry.

IceGuard and LawnScape

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
