This customer in Clarksville, TN called Frontier cracks in the interior of their home. This was due to moisture issues in their crawl space and sinking crawl space supports. After stabilizing the crawl space with our SmartJack system, we started on the moisture issues. We cleaned out all the debris, installed drainage matting, covered the crawl space with a CleanSpace liner, and sealed the crawl space vents with SilverGlo panels. We finished this project by installing new framing and a new secure crawl space door.

Interior Cracking

Interior cracks in the home are signs of severe damage due to failing crawl space supports. As these supports begin to give way, the floors above can sag and interior walls may crack, resulting in expensive problems in your home.

Old Crawl Space Door

This old crawl space door was just a piece of plywood. This does not offer a secure fit, and anything from bugs and pests to moisture and airflow can come right through this door. It will be reframed, and a new secure door will be added.

Moisture, mold and falling, failing insulation are problems in this crawl space, which hasn't been properly sealed. The crawl space floor is also sagging, which is what is causing the home's interior cracks.

Drainage matting is installed over the crawl space floors. This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.
