Before our intervention, a home in Shelbyville, TN was plagued by sagging floors and musty odors originating from its crawl space. A thorough inspection by our expert revealed telltale signs of foundation troubles, such as unlevel floors and cracks in both the floors and walls, indicating the shifting of the structure. Inside the crawl space, we discovered excess moisture, which not only contributed to the unhealthy musty odors but also caused significant damage to the wooden framework of the home, creating an overall hazardous environment. We installed our CleanSpace Liner, a 20-mil thick barrier over drainage matting, which efficiently sealed off the crawl space from ground moisture, drastically reducing humidity levels. For the foundation problems, we implemented steel beams, known for their durability and resistance to rot and mold, providing essential support to the structure. To lift and stabilize the sagging floors, we employed SmartJack Stabilizers made from galvanized steel, successfully restoring the floors to their original position. These comprehensive solutions not only secured the foundation but also created a healthier and more stable environment in the crawl space, enhancing the overall integrity and comfort of the home.
